What is Real Kitchen?
Think of us as take-out for home cooking. We prepare wholesome, approachably gourmet food from-scratch every day, and conveniently package it for you to heat and enjoy at home. Our menu changes weekly, working with the best seasonal ingredients.
The chefs behind the stoves and ovens at Real Kitchen hail from some of Chicago’s finest restaurants, lead by Executive Chef Nick Schmuck (Charlie Trotter’s). After spending years creating ‘art on a plate’ for privileged diners, we decided to go back to our roots and cook the real food that real people eat every day. We are passionate about creating the most delicious “home cooking” you’ll ever eat.
We prepare all our food from scratch, using the freshest ingredients. We offer everything from soups, salads, and sandwiches to complete meals to reheat at home. Our menu changes weekly, working with what the seasons have to offer. We also carry a select supply of delicious oils, cheeses, and specialty products. We also offer full catering services for events ranging from picnics to weddings.
All our packaging is either recyclable or compostable
All deli and salad containers are 90 days compostable in an industrial compost. We will accept any returns on compostable packaging to contribute to our composting program.
Our recycling program for glass, paper, plastic and metal has reduced our landfill contribution by about 75%.
